Sometimes the easiest foods are somehow the best. Shown is the Italian wrap which is one of my boyfriend’s. I’ll be posting MY favorite soon! These @cutdacarb wraps just became my new #2 favorite keto food – EVER. Yes, ever. Wraps and salads (alternating days) are the only things we eat during the week now, and on the weekend is when I make new recipes. But we eat these more often than anything else, every single week.
The funny part is, we’ve always loved this flatbread…but until now, we’ve always had them heated up (quesadillas, Mexican pizzas, etc.). When we ate them fresh/cold for the first time in these wraps, we could actually taste the quality of the bread. And that’s exactly what it tastes like; bread. 👉Real bread.👈 My mind immediately went to French bread. Oh. My. God. I’ve been eating these forever, yet I never actually *tasted* them until this day. It’s hard to explain…but I’m honestly surprised because I did not think I could love this bread any more than I did.
What is it about BLTs?! So simple but SO MUCH YUM. I haven’t had one in years, for some reason; don’t be like me. 😄 Our cheesy buns/cheese bread open up a world of keto possibilities when it comes to sandwiches, burgers, etc. – and this is definitely one of my all time favorites.
Macros and pricing:
Based on the products we used, the cost of these ingredients will be roughly $2.09 and make 2 sandwiches.
Fat – 40g
Total carbs – 5.4g
Net carbs – 4.6g
Protein – 32.8g
6 pieces of bacon, cooked
1 cup shredded mozzarella
½ cup shredded parmesan
2 tbsp mayonnaise
Mix the shredded mozzarella, parmesan and egg together and place 4 mounds on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Once cooked spread mayo on the buns.
Top with lettuce, tomato and bacon.
Ice cream sandwiches are SO perfect for these warm days! After biting into one of those delicious “KetOreos“, I was reminded of one of my favorite ice creams which I haven’t had in such a long time. I then realized how easy (and INCREDIBLE) it would be to make them! We’re going to try with all sorts of ice cream flavors (enter Halo Top), but for the first time we just stayed with good ol’ Breyers Carb Smart Vanilla Ice Cream and used half of the KetOres recipe for the cookie.
